The Montezuma Conscious Community, Montezuma, Costa Rica’s newest non denominational spiritual support group kicked off the new year with a talk by distinguished guest speaker Victoras Kulvinskas, considered the father of the modern day raw foods movement.
His raw food movement is the third most popular topic on the internet worldwide. With incomparable flare and passion Victoras opened the forty five minute meeting with an effortlessly executed flying lotus and spoke to a crowd of thirty three as if they where a thousand, leaving everyone with a feeling of hope and upliftment.
Victoras Kulvinskas is the world renowned author of the best selling book titled “survival guide to the twenty first century” and spoke about the relationship of wellness to proper respect for the enzyme and microbial community existing within our bodies.
This new group has a powerful positive vibe that can be felt in the street when they chant “pura vida, pura vida”. With classic yogi fashion, the relaxed, healthy group attracts comments and followers interested in self improvement from the area. Several police officers walking their beat stopped and listened from the street and then began talking about vegetarians they knew. Costaricans have been living in a progressive environment for a long time and are open armed towards health and wellness related efforts and organizations.
The new group intends on supporting healthy lifestyle choices with regular meetings in town on Sunday mornings. Many attendees stayed for a healthy breakfast at the Organico café where the meeting was held and others went to the beach or waterfalls to relax the gorgeous Sunday away.
