Nicaragua Succesfully Promotes its Tourism Sector in EXPOTUR 2010

As part of Nicaragua’s strategy to promote the country as a tourist destination in the exterior, the Nicaraguan Tourism Board (INTUR, for its acronym in Spanish) and the private sector participated in EXPOTUR, an international tourism fair, held since 1984 in the city of San Jose, Costa Rica.
This year, more than 250 Central American service providers participated in the fair offering their products and services to international wholesale agencies from the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
Participants from Nicaragua’s private sector included Alhambra Hotel, Plaza Colón Hotel, Punta Teonoste Hotel, Careli Tours, Parque Marítimo el Coco, La Gran Francia Hotel, Solentiname Tours and Vapues Tours.
Since the year 2009, EXPOTUR took a new turn as it opened its doors to the general public providing the opportunity for exhibitors to present their products to the Costa Rican population.
