Hi!

This news is encouraging. People who are pessimistic about this project may only comes to realize the good effects much later.

Can you refer me to the supplier of the POLARIZED FILM used in this outlet? We may opt to use this in our video outlet.

Thank you.

i said it was a start, not for mcdonalds as a corporation, but for other builders in general to follow in those footsteps. things are going to get built, people are going to eat meat. you can't change a whole society overnight. change takes time and sometimes starts small. if something is going to be built, its better to do it with the environment in mind. yes, its still ridiculus (hence the statement about the fat lady and her coke) but even if it is small, it IS a start...

It's disappointing to hear people say things like "this is a start." It's not a start. This is the same pattern of technological distraction that has brought humans to the dangerous place they are in right now. What's fundamentally destructive about McDonald's is cheap meat raised on destroyed land through grossly inefficient agricultural practices. Festooning a building with green, architectural wizardry does nothing to address the root problems with McDonald's. It's classic greenwashing, where companies pander to consumer environmental trends on the cheapest, most superficial level. Stop eating meat, stop eating over-packaged foods, and what would McDonald's have left? Well, I guess they wouldn't have enough customers or money to decorate the roof of their restaurant with plants. Come on people, don't be fools. The way forward involves tough choices. Real choices.

building an eco-friendly McDonalds is the equivalent of the fat lady ordering a diet coke with her 2 big macs and supersize fries...but hey, at least its a start.
