Costa Rica Launches National Aerospace Development

Costa Rica launched its national aerospace development program, which includes the creation of the Cámara Centroamericana de la Industria Aeroespacial (CAIA) – Central Chamber of Aerospace Industries – informed the Foreign Ministry.

Presidenta, Laura Chinchilla, met on Friday with businessmen, academics and diplomats in the city of Liberia, at the premises of the Ad Astra Rocket, former Costa Rican astronaut Franklin Chang for explain the scope of the project.

The Government, with the help of Chang, plans to promote the aerospace industry in Central America.
