Carlos Vargas, a Costa Rican artist, displayed his playful hemp fiber creations in the National Park during the International Art Fair held in San Jose, Costa Rica. Here in this pastoral mountain park in the center of San Jose thousands of people enjoyed the open air art displays while music and smells of food mingled in the air. Carlos Vargas put on a display of natural fiber art to inspire and interact with. In this interview he shares some of the history of this fibers use in Costa Rica and his personal experience with it at the beach.
